🌿 ANOKHI – Traditional Indian Textiles & Craftsmanship
Founded in 1970 by John and Faith Singh in Jaipur, Rajasthan, ANOKHI is a textile and clothing brand dedicated to preserving traditional Indian craftsmanship through contemporary design. The brand works with skilled artisans, including block carvers, printers, dyers, embroiderers, and other craftspeople, helping sustain traditional textile skills and artisan livelihoods. 🧵
ANOKHI brings together traditional hand-block printing techniques, intricate patterns, and contemporary styles to create thoughtfully designed collections. Its range includes women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, sleepwear, accessories, and textile furnishings. The brand’s work reflects a long-standing commitment to craft conservation, design development, and the revival of traditional skills. 🌱
In 2005, ANOKHI also established the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing in Jaipur to preserve, document, and interpret the history and practice of block-printed textiles.
Well, now that The Green Links is up and live, we feel ANOKHI should be on it. Its work in preserving traditional textile craftsmanship, collaborating with skilled artisans, and keeping India’s rich printing traditions alive strongly reflects the values we want to highlight through The Green Links. 💚
