Founded in July 2013, Deshna Foundation is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-political organisation working to support children, young people, and communities across Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The foundation focuses on creating opportunities for education, skill development, environmental awareness, and leadership growth. 💚

Deshna Foundation conducts skill development training, career guidance programmes, awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and community events. Its initiatives aim to support children and young people, particularly those from underserved communities, by improving access to learning opportunities and resources. 🌱

The foundation’s key initiatives include IT Siksha, which promotes digital literacy and basic computer education; She for Her, which focuses on menstrual health, hygiene awareness, and the empowerment of adolescent girls; and Earth Matters, which promotes environmental awareness through tree planting and community and kitchen gardening activities in schools, colleges, and communities.

Through these programmes, Deshna Foundation works to encourage education, community participation, women’s empowerment, and environmental responsibility. Its approach brings together social development and environmental awareness to support healthier, more informed, and empowered communities. 🌍
