OK Upcycling Studio is an upcycling initiative based in Auroville, founded by Ok (Lee Ok Jeong), with a simple idea: “Creating Something from Nothing.”

The studio focuses on recycling and upcycling waste materials, transforming discarded materials into useful and higher-value products through creative design and quality craftsmanship. Its work is rooted in the idea of giving waste a new purpose and creating longer-lasting products rather than allowing useful materials to become waste.

A key part of the studio’s work is its cooperation with local village women, combining waste reduction with community participation. The studio also follows a litter-free approach, ensuring that the waste generated through its own work is responsibly managed.

Through its creative approach to reuse, OK Upcycling Studio offers an example of how discarded materials can be transformed into products with renewed value while encouraging more conscious ways of making and consuming.
